Treasurer
Dear Tappers,
My name is Joey Ray, and I will be your treasurer for the coming year. I am 27 years old, originally from Roden, and currently a second-year student in our program.
Ever since my introduction week, I found this association to be a welcoming and fun place, which is why I signed up shortly after. In January, I became an active member of the excursion committee, and not long after, the 9th board approached me to apply for the next board.
This seemed like a great opportunity to gain experience in a leadership role within an organization. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to become even more involved in S.V. Tapp. As treasurer, it’s important to keep a close eye on financial matters—something that isn’t typically part of a Mechanical Engineering program. That’s why I saw this as a great chance to expand my knowledge. If I ever want to start my own organization or business, I will already have some financial experience under my belt.
My goal is to make this an amazing year for both myself and all our members! Of course, I’m looking forward to our drinks and activities, and I hope to see you all there.
